When optometrist Alex Craig opened **Karratha Eye Care** in 2019, the goal was simple: make quality eye care more accessible for the community. With a world‑class telehealth clinic and strong partnerships (like with Lions Outback Vision in Broome), the practice means locals don’t need to travel far from home to access expert tertiary care.

## The Challenge

Starting a business anywhere is tough — but in regional WA, the hurdles can be even higher. For Alex, the biggest challenges weren’t just clinical — it was everything behind the scenes. Finance. Service providers. Support. He needed someone local, approachable, and available when things got tricky.

“Having someone on the ground that I could actually talk to — not just at the end of an email — that was really important. Jordan and his team were always there, even on weekends, helping us get through.”

## The Solution

Mountway Finance stepped in as more than just a finance partner. They worked alongside Alex with practical, tailored advice. Instead of cookie‑cutter answers, they brought creative problem‑solving and support that made the whole process feel safe and reassuring.

“What I enjoyed most was their ability to create solutions that weren’t just linear thinking. It felt educational, I felt supported, and I felt like they genuinely cared about my success.”

## The Outcome

Karratha Eye Care is thriving — delivering expert care locally, building strong community ties, and growing as a truly regional success story. And for Alex, the relationship with Mountway isn’t just about finance — it’s about partnership.

- Personal, hands‑on support whenever it was needed
- Creative financial solutions that fit the realities of a regional start‑up
- A relationship built on trust, care, and community

“Jordan cares not just about the outcome but about the long‑term relationships. He wants to see local businesses succeed — that’s what makes the difference.”
